Meet the Team
Grant van Rooyen
Chief Executive Officer
Grant is the CEO of Tract. He remains President of the van Rooyen Group, which manages the assets of the van Rooyen family. He is also the President of the van Rooyen Family Foundation which does charitable work globally. Before Tract, Grant established Cologix in 2010, which was sold to Stonepeak. Grant has either built, sold, or owns interests in and actively contributes to MedOne (Israel), Teraco (South Africa), Bluewave, CPG, vR Hospitality, L5 Capital Partners, Communications Realty Investments, vR OZ Partners, and IX Investments. Before his entrepreneurial endeavors, he was with Level 3 Communications for 10 years as President of Content Markets. Born and raised in South Africa, he has lived and worked in Australia, Japan, the UK, and the US. Grant and Laura are raising four children together. He studied economics and finance in Australia and Japanese in Japan.
Heidi Diemar
Chief Business Officer
Heidi is responsible for overseeing the execution of Tract’s strategic and tactical initiatives and the day-to-day administration of the company. Heidi has worked in the digital infrastructure space for the last twelve years, first as the Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel & Secretary of Cologix, Inc. and later as the General Counsel of van Rooyen Group, LLC. She sits on the LPACs of L5 Capital Partners Funds I and II, Board of Directors of L5 Be Well, LLC and is Vice President of the van Rooyen Family Foundation. Heidi started her career in 1999 as a member of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice group. She lives in Miami, FL with her husband and two teenage boys.
Graham Williams
Chief Investment Officer
Graham is responsible for overall investment strategy and manages teams responsible for selection, acquisition, and horizontal development of all Tract sites. Graham brings to Tract 20+ years of experience building, productizing and operating digital infrastructure. His most recent role was Chief Operating Officer at the data center company Cologix, where he was responsible for operations, construction and commercial management. Graham is an avid fisherman. He lives in Denver, CO with his family.
Matt Spencer
Chief Technical Officer
Matt is responsible for the technical infrastructure strategy managing the teams responsible for the technical infrastructure engineering and development of all Tract sites. Matt brings to Tract 35+ years of experience engineering, constructing and operating telecommunications, data networking and digital data center infrastructure. His most recent role was Chief Technology Officer at the data center company Cologix, where he was responsible for all aspects of engineering, constructing, and operating the data centers. Matt enjoys the Colorado outdoors, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and mountain biking with his family.
Erik Young
Chief Financial Officer
Erik is the Chief Financial Officer of Tract, bringing over two decades of comprehensive strategy, M&A, capital markets, private equity, banking, and financial management expertise. During his career, Erik has executed more than $20 billion of transactions across various industries, including energy, infrastructure, industrials, aerospace & defense, and technology. Erik joined Tract after serving as Chief Financial Officer of PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE: PBF), where he was responsible for the finance, investor relations, accounting, treasury, credit, tax, insurance, information technology, middle office, and internal audit/SOX organizations. During his tenure at PBF, he also served as Chief Financial Officer of PBF Logistics LP, a publicly traded master limited partnership (NYSE: PBFX), and was a member of the Board of Directors of the general partner. Earlier in his career, Erik was a private equity investor and worked in investment banking. He enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, and traveling with his family.
Jessica Bennett
Chief Legal Officer
Jessica Bennett is responsible for managing all of Tract's legal functions and relationships, including governance, compliance, land matters and contract negotiation. Jessica brings 15+ years of experience in a combination of the real estate and digital infrastructure spaces. Most recently, Jessica was the General Counsel of data center company, Cologix, where she was responsible for all Cologix legal matters relating to governance (including from an ESG perspective), M&A, debt financing, sales, leasing, real property acquisition, construction and development, network development, and supplier engagement. Prior to Cologix, Jessica was an attorney in the real estate group of Sidley Austin LLP in New York, and then Brownstein Hyatt Farber Shreck, LLP in Denver. Jessica is a dog lover and avid skier and she lives in Denver, CO.
Jeffrey Cox
Chief Innovation Officer
Jeffrey Cox brings to Tract almost 40 years of cloud, carrier, and enterprise infrastructure and networking experience leading the design and architecture of some of the largest IT infrastructures ever built. His most recent roles include the GM of Infrastructure Planning and Partner Network Architect for Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure over the last 11 years. Jeff is married with two adult children and enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, biking, farming, and fishing.
Kristin Dean
Director of Entitlements
Kristin Dean, AICP is a professional land use planner with over two decades of entitlement experience. Her career spans work in both public and private sectors. Most recently, Kristin was a Senior Associate Consultant at Norris Design in Denver, CO where she was responsible for leading clients through complex entitlement processes and logistics ranging from large-scale urban mixed-use developments to new construction of affordable housing communities.
Kristin has a Master’s in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia. She holds a high passion for emerging sustainability technology, trends, and initiatives. Kristin lives in Louisville, CO with her family, where they enjoy the great outdoors!
Mike Comer
Chief Accounting Officer
Mike is a seasoned Chief Accounting Officer with extensive REIT accounting experience built through 25 years in the real estate industry across multiple industry verticals. Before joining Tract he was the Chief Accounting Officer at Carr Properties, a real estate investment firm, Chief Accounting Officer at First Potomac Realty Trust, and Controller at Washington Real Estate Investment Trust.
John Belkin
Assistant General Counsel
John is responsible for the Company’s legal functions. He brings to Tract 25 years of experience in real estate, land use and development, construction, telecommunications, and government affairs. John worked as the first General Counsel of Cologix, and as Corporate Counsel for Level 3 Communications. He served as an aide to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, as an attorney in the Office of United States Trade Representative, and as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. John has testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources on the 1872 General Mining Law. He was most recently with the real estate law firm in Aspen, Garfield & Hecht, P.C. When not spending time with his partner Desiree and two young boys Bear and Bruin, John enjoys skiing, mountain biking and ice climbing. John and his family reside in Basalt, Colorado.
Sharon Lam
Senior Vice President - Land Strategy
Sharon is responsible for Tract’s land strategy and manages a team responsible for selection and acquisition of all Tract sites. Sharon brings to Tract 10+ years of experience investing in and building digital infrastructure. Her most recent role was Vice President at Columbia Capital, where she worked with management teams from thesis generation through company creation, deal negotiation & execution, and strategic M&A. She currently serves on the board of directors for Groundswell, and previously served on the board for Bandwidth IG and was a board observer for SummitIG. Prior to Columbia, Sharon worked at Goldman Sachs in their TMT investment banking group in New York. Sharon is an avid reader, experimental baker, and novice golfer. She lives in Alexandria, VA with her family.
Jason Lohmiller
Senior Vice President - Commercial Management
Jason has spent the past 15+ years in the telecommunications and data center sectors, most recently as the Chief Commercial Officer of Deep Edge Realty. Prior to Deep Edge, Jason held various product and finance roles with Zayo, Cologix, DataBank, Integra Telecom, and Liberty Mutual. Jason lives in Golden, CO with his wife and 3 kids and enjoys outdoor activities and recreational sports.
Phillip Sandino
Senior Vice President - Utility Development
Phillip is responsible for the utility infrastructure and energy supply at all Tract sites. Phillip brings to Tract 30+ years of experience constructing, commissioning and operating power generation, electric distribution and co-location data centers. Phillip was a director of electrical distribution at Dominion Energy, where he started Dominion Data Center Services to enable massive data center growth in Virginia, and Vice President of Operations at NTT Data Centers, where he led critical facility operations, network operations,EHS, security and energy supply. Phillip is a veteran of the US Navy and alum of Texas Tech University (BSMET) and the University of Southern California (MBA). He is an avid mountain biker, crossfitter and Scoutmaster. He lives in Annandale, Virginia, with his wife, Kim, and three sons.
Dean Sheppard
Development Manager - Arizona
Dean is responsible for Tract’s development interest’s and project management for the Arizona market. Dean brings over 20 years of Economic Development in the municipal and state arena. Last 6 years of credits and incentives experience working with a variety of clients ranging in size from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies positioning for Arizona statutory and discretionary incentive support. Dean offers a broad knowledge of state and local incentive programs, commercial and industrial real estate, property tax incentives, industrial development finance, state and federal economic development grants, labor analytics, and community development and redevelopment strategies. Dean lives in Phoenix Arizona with his family and is an avid golfer and fan of the beautiful game of soccer.

Dana Perry
Director of Program Management
As a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in construction management, Dana has established herself as a leader in the data center real estate development business. Her expertise includes overseeing the design and construction of hyperscale data centers, managing program level initiatives for large project portfolios, and coordinating with diverse and distributed teams to ensure project success. In her free time she loves to travel, hike, indoor rock climb, and play some pick-up basketball to relive her college glory days.
Coury Morris
Principal Site Planning Engineer
Coury is a Professional Engineer with 18 years of experience designing and master planning large commercial and industrial developments. Coury graduated from The University of Utah with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He holds professional licensure in three western states. His most recent role was 10+ years as Principal Engineer with Great Basin Engineering, where he managed large scale commercial developments from design and entitlement through construction completion. Coury lives in Utah with his wife Nicole where they are raising their two children. He is an avid skier, loves the Utah outdoors and spending time with his family at Lake Powell.
Daniel Becht
Development Manager
Dan is responsible for managing the horizontal development of Tract sites. With 10 years of civil engineering and land development experience, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge related to due diligence, site selection, entitlements and design. Prior to joining Tract, Dan was a Project Manager with the civil engineering firm Kimley-Horn where he provided civil design and entitlement services for a broad range of projects located throughout the country. Dan is an avid road cyclist, snowboarder and pilot. He lives in Golden, CO with his family.
Eric Samson
Senior GIS Developer
Eric is a Senior GIS Developer at Tract, where he is responsible for developing and implementing GIS applications and managing and analyzing spatial data to provide solutions for Tract's projects. With a Masters in GIS and 8 years of professional experience in GIS development, Python, and SQL database management, Eric is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems, automate repetitive tasks, and drive business value. In his free time, Eric enjoys skiing, backpacking, trying out new restaurants, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Jacob Bock
Vice President Land Strategy
Jacob focuses on Tract's land strategy, which involves site selection and acquisition for development. He has 7+ years of investing and real estate experience. Prior to Tract, Jacob was the Director of investments at The Broe Group, responsible for the evaluation and execution of investments across real estate, infrastructure, transportation, logistics, and energy. He began his career at HFF focusing on commercial real estate capital markets. Jacob holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of the men's lacrosse team. In his free time he enjoys golf, skiing, and squash.
Eli Lockwood
Strategy & Investment Associate
Eli is a Strategy & Investment Associate at Tract, where he is responsible for market research, financial analysis, and due diligence in support of Tract’s site selection and acquisition. He began his career in management consulting prior to his most recent role as an Associate at Atticus Franchise Group, a private equity firm based in Atlanta, GA. He graduated with a BSBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Originally from North Carolina, Eli lives in Denver, CO and enjoys skiing, playing golf, and live music.
Bevin Orlinski
Senior Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis
Bevin is responsible for budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis in support of operational and strategic decision making throughout the Tract organization. She has over 30 years of experience in an FP&A capacity, which also includes leadership positions in sales commissions, sales operations, construction management and post-acquisition integrations. Prior to joining Tract, Bevin held Vice President of Finance roles at vR Group, Cologix and Level 3 Communications. She is an avid volunteer for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and can often be seen tandem mountain biking in Golden, CO, where she lives with her husband.
Kelsey Johnson
Executive Administrative Manager
Kelsey is a passionate administrator focused on administrative duties and providing extensive support to Executives. She firmly commits to the business goals and the vision of the executives she supports. Kelsey has over ten years of experience in this position at Cologix, Inc and van Rooyen Group, LLC, while also performing the role of human resources. She currently lives in Golden, Colorado, with her husband and two sons. They are huge Ohio State Buckeye fans. "O-H!" In addition, she is deeply involved in her local community, having served as a Jefferson County Planning & Zoning Commissioner for two terms.
